Pavilion Concert — Easystreet Big Band
July 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
New for 2017! Established in 2003, our 18-piece band has performed throughout Western New York at numerous venues. The group is composed of 5 saxes, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, a male and female vocalist and rhythm section. This instrumentation keeps the sounds of the traditional “Big Band Era” alive, and enriches the sounds of other styles of music written for larger ensembles. From swing to ballads, the Easy Street Big Band plays many of the great songs from past to present, for your dancing and listening pleasure.
The band was awarded “Best Jazz Big Band” at the Buffalo Music Awards in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and inducted into the “Hall of Achievement” in 2010. Although the awards were discontinued, The Easy Street Big Band continues its award-winning level of performance.
All events are held at the pavilion behind the Orchard Park Middle School. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved inside to the Orchard Park Middle School auditorium. Visit the QuakerArtsPavilion.org web site for venue changes due to weather.
This event is part of the 2017 Quaker Days Celebration.
